In this tutorial, Robert Nederhorst (VFX Supervisor on Archetype) shows the entire process in successi~ how a shot came to subsist. He starts at the beginning ~ dint of. creating an HDRI using PTGui and ends through a final composite. After constructing the HDRI, Rob moves into Maya during shader development and rendering, using VRay to output the unlike each other passes and layers for the shooter. Once the plate is cleaned up and the 3D constitution has been color graded and integrated into the bullet, he constructs a production “gizmo” to accord. the artists control over various attributes of the composite. Rob then applies the final touches, like atmospheric effects created using PhoenixFD, film float and grain, along with realistic camera jar, lens flares and lens distortion to bring into being the most believable result.
