Software: FREE Microsoft Excel Templates for Real Estate

Microsoft Excel is a useful program for making sales charts, closing cost estimates, loan calculators, expense reports, and commission reports. You don't have to create all of these spreadsheets from scratch and you don't need to pay for templates from third party providers because Microsoft provides dozens of FREE templates on the Microsoft Office website.

Just go to http://office.microsoft.com/ and enter search terms like "loan calculator" to see some of the templates that are available. Templates are available for various Microsoft programs, so make sure you select a template that is designed for the program you wish to use.

Here are links to a few common searches to help you locate some FREE Excel templates for real estate.

Closing Costs Calculators

Loan Calculators

Click on a template to view a larger version. Click the Download button to download the template to your computer. After it finishes downloading, double click to open it and customize it.

Some title company websites also offer free online netsheet tools that allow you to create "good faith" closing cost estimates and export them to Excel so that you can customize them as needed. Ask a title company Sales Representative for more information.
